Information, not professional advice
Our guides describe hobby projects for general information. They are not electrical, plumbing, engineering or legal advice. Gardens, soils, supplies and components vary, and you are responsible for judging whether a project suits your circumstances.
Your safety responsibilities
- Work only with low-voltage DC unless a qualified electrician carries out any mains work, in line with applicable regulations such as BS 7671 in the UK.
- Follow local water regulations, including backflow protection when connecting to a public supply.
- Secure water containers against access by children and animals, and route overflow safely.
- Follow manufacturers' instructions for batteries, pumps, valves and chargers.
- Test projects under supervision before leaving them to run unattended.

We aim for accuracy and correct errors when told about them, but the site is provided "as is" without guarantees that content is complete, current or error-free.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales.
